Description:
The aim of this project is to carry out structural surveys of the modern heritage located across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi which includes different typologies such as buildings, structures, monuments, among others. Structural assessments are required to study the viability and feasibility of conservingmodern heritage sites registered or nominated for inscription. These shall also include archival referencing, if available, and structural surveys at different levels of detail outlined within the Department of Culture & Tourism - Abu Dhabi's Guidelines for Structural Assessments of Modern HeritageSites. Based on the level of assessment requested by DCT, the consultant shall analyze the current structural performance of the building and provide an estimate of its expected remaining lifespan and shall propose different strengthening, repairing, or retrofitting options. These recommendationsshall prioritize ISO13822 standard, ICOMOS Burra Charter 2013 and the principles of minimal intervention while ensuring structural reliability. Vendors who pass the techno-commercial evaluation will be entered into a long-term call-off framework agreement with DCT to undertake structural surveys andassessments of modern heritage sites.
