• Description:
• Tenders are invited for Comprehensive Dietary and Sugar Consumption Survey in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Conduct a Comprehensive Dietary and Sugar Consumption Survey in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The scope of our proposed Dietary Consumption Survey is both extensive and critical to addressing the complex interplay of dietary habits and their impact on public health. This survey will encompass a representative sample of the Emirate-s population, including various age groups, genders, and geographical regions, to ensure a holistic understanding of dietary practices. We will employ a rigorous methodology, utilizing dietary recalls, food frequency questionnaires, and advanced analytical tools to collect and process data. The survey's scope extends to assessing not only macronutrients and micronutrients but also specific dietary components, notably sugar consumption, anthropometric measurements and general medical history of the community including but not limited to diabetes and hyperglycemia to better tackle the pressing issue of obesity. Moreover, this endeavor will allow Abu Dhabi Public Health Center to tailor the findings and recommendations to the diverse needs of the population. This survey is planned for 2 months on a 7 working day basis to help understand the dietary consumption in the Emirate and that will provide the necessary information to tailor the different nutrition and health programs in the Emirate to best suit the health and wellbeing of the community. This period will be divided into 2 deliverables: 1. Sugar consumption survey results to be delivered by 15 December 2023 2. Comprehensive Dietary survey results to be delivered by 31 January 2024
