• The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) is seeking experienced consultants for an environmental study focused on establishing baseline levels of heavy metals in the soil across the Abu Dhabi Emirates. The project aims to distinguish between human-induced and geological sources of pollution. It encompasses reviewing existing data, conducting field surveys, applying remote sensing and artificial intelligence techniques for data analysis, and utilizing XRD analysis. The initiative also includes capacity building for teams to enhance environmental management. The outcomes of this project will serve as a primary input to update Abu Dhabi's soil contamination guidelines, reflecting the natural distribution of contaminants in alignment with the Emirate's economic development.
